SRS 2016 Kicks Off At South Coast RC!

A fantastic turn out for the first round of SRS, being hosted for the first time on the SCRC Astro track!

After an extremely cold start to the day which saw the track coated in frost, the sun came out and warmed us and the astro up nicely. Tyre choice was critical all day, most people moving from spirals for the earlier rounds, through various grades of mini pins as the track dried out.

The track record was smashed by a certain Darren Bloomfield, taking a second of the previous record. Unsurprisingly with that kind of pace he took TQ in both nitro and ebuggy classes. Electric gremlins cut short his ebuggy A final but the win was secure in the Nitro class.

We really hope everyone enjoyed the track and can't wait to see you all again soon for some more high grip racing!
